The Black Education Fund was built on the support of 100 like-minded individuals with the goal of support ing the education of Black students. We are led by a diverse volunteer committee dedicated to removing the educational barriers facing Black youth in Canada. ​

The Black Education Fund was founded in August of 2020 by a group of friends and like-minded community members who wanted to do more than just talk about making change, we wanted to take action. What started out as an initiative to raise $5000 to support one Black student in Canada, has grown rapidly with donations to date exceeding $100,000. We believe breaking down barriers Black students face in accessing education is fundamentally important to overcome anti-Black racism in Canada.

Our goal is now to provide some financial support to multiple Black students.
